Winter Skills Course

Winter Skills Course

Learning all the skills to function in British winter mountain conditions, dealing with the risk of avalanche, snow camping, intro level ice and high mountain climbing, navigation and survival skills.

While Fitways will happily be your companion in the hills for the rest of your climbing days, we’re passionate about teaching people how to be self-sufficient in the mountains. Ultimately we want you to be able to enjoy the UKs mountainous regions on your own terms. The British mountains are often underestimated, for example Snowdon may seem a breeze when the sun’s shining in midsummer, but midwinter becomes as challenging as anywhere on earth.

This weekend would be an excellent way to prepare for more challenging trips in the Himalayas, achieving independence by improving winter skills, or paving the way to becoming a fully-fledged mountaineer.
