The Fitways Adventures Team


simonSimon Jones

Simon is from Betws y Coed, near to the peaks of North Wales. He used to work for Snowdonia National Park as a warden and now works in outdoor education, guiding & teaching mountain skills. Simon holds the Mountain Instructor Award (MIA) and Winter Mountain Leader award, and is a full member of the Association of Mountain Instructors (AMI). Simon is also a International Mountain leader. When not in the hills he can be found Surfing or  Snowboarding.


andyAndy Clifton
Andy is a qualified Mountain Leader who has had a life-long interest in the outdoors, from sailing to winter mountaineering. He’s walked extensively in the UK and trekked in the high mountains of the Cordillera Huayhuash in Peru, the Dolomites in Italy, New Zealand and Corsica. A latecomer to the open canoe, Andy is now working on his paddling skills after catching the bug on a canoe and bushcraft expedition in north-west Scotland.



nickNick Hollis
Nick started climbing mountains when he had days off at university. Later with a demanding job in HP he still found the time to climb 6 of the 7 summits, and the final peak – Everest – still lies on the horizon. He’s climbed extensively in mountain ranges including Alaska, the Andes, the Himalayas & the Alps and is a fully qualified Winter Mountain Leader, sports nutritionist and personal trainer. His lifetime goal is to share his obsession with all things adventurous.

Working full time in the outdoors James has a degree in Outdoor Education and is a qualified canoe coach, mountain leader and climbing wall instructor. He is an outdoor enthusiast with a lifelong passion for adventure and over 10 years experience in the industry. When not at work James can be found either bouldering, dog walking or on adventures with his family.




gerryGerry Stentinford
Gerry Stentiford is a Head of Geography in a secondary school and has just moved with is family to live in South Wales. His previous career saw him work as a management consultant and as a trainee outdoor instructor in New Zealand. He is ML qualified and WML trained and regularly runs Gold DofE expeditions to all parts of the UK. His own personal mountaineering has taken him to the Alps, Russia, Himilayas and New Zealand.



sarahSarah Hatch
Fellow adventurer and climbing enthusiast Sarah is Fitways’ head Marketer and Graphic Designer. Behind the scenes she is working hard to make sure Fitways Adventures web and promo material lives up to it’s reputation & high standards. “I’ve loved working for such an exciting company, it beats working for a soul-less corporation. They really care about doing good things for their clients, what can be better than giving people an experience of a lifetime? I’m very proud to be a part of it all anyway.”
