About Our Founder

A story of polar opposites, Nick came from a successful career working as a global business manager, somehow managing to find the time in-between things to get out and explore. In 2012 he decided to follow his lifelong passion for the outdoors & adventure full time, and make a living doing what he loves by launching Fitways Adventures. He has a wealth of experience in guiding and leading groups across the world, and a desire to share his pastime. Nick aims to offer a wider experience to Fitways Adventures clients, including an awareness of the environment, flora and fauna, mountain skills and more.

Alongside his role in business management, Nick has achieved a number of personal fitness & adventure goals, including:

  • Close to completing the 7 Summits (the highest mountains of each of the 7 continents) – climbing Everest in 2016
  • Qualified as an Outdoor Instructor – climbing and mountaineering
  • Climbed extensively in mountain ranges including Alaska, the Andes & the Alps
  • Travelled to remote parts of the world, including Eastern Nepal, the Amazon rainforest & Africa
  • Qualified in sports nutrition
  • Qualified Personal Trainer
  • Completed multiple Ironman Triathlons & other endurance events

About Fitways

Fitways Adventures is the fresh travel and adventure company, bursting with epic ideas and extreme goals. It came about as the result of the founder’s passion for adventure, mountaineering and the environment, and a desire to share this passion with clients.

Personalised & Specialised – we are not just another adventure company. We go the extra mile to give our clients unforgettable experiences. We also want you to be an integral part of the experience, and we encourage our clients to learn and develop their knowledge and skills.

Selective – the trips Fitways Adventures have selected to run are for their wow factor and also for the best climactic conditions. They reflect the founder’s favourite experiences after many years of adventure and exploring across the globe.

Environment – environmental considerations are at the core of everything we do. We take our responsibility to minimise environmental impact and aid conservation very seriously. Having seen glacial deterioration in the mountains first-hand, we’re committed to addressing the problem. Because deforestation in jungle areas such as the Amazon is at the heart of the issue, a percentage of our profits go to rainforest conservation projects. We also work with local people to educate and inform them, in order to ensure that they conserve their wonderful regions for the benefit of the environment and the local economy.

Welfare – we take the welfare of our staff very seriously, particularly staff we employ in developing areas. We ensure at all times that they have all the necessary equipment and are well looked after.
